I’m fairly tall and it was causing me to slouch. My chair could not go lower, so the desk had to go up. It is a fiberboard desk triangular with a metal frame. It is heavy and has a lot of expensive electronics on it. It had to be safe.These risers did a great job. For a bed you would probably need two sets because there are only 4 riders and most beds have middle supports as well.
